Interview: Charlotte Cook

Chloe sits down with brewer Charlotte Cook to talk about beer brewing, how she entered the industry and some of the science behind fermentation!

In addition to being a brewer, Charlotte is a beer writer and advocate for fair working practices in the industry. She also participated in our first panel discussion at e5 Bakehouse on Storytelling in Alcohol, which you can watch on our IGTV.

This interview is a sort of bridge between alchol and rot season as fermentation is a controlled rotting process! Charlotte shares how she develops her recipes, the physicality of brewing and how she layers flavours into beer throughout the fermentation process and why brewing isn't always a 'perfect' science.
